My story

I learned to build by beginning again.

I’m Oluwasegun Aluko James, also known as Feranmi. I’m a Nigerian business consultant, cultural producer, community builder and founder based in Kingston upon Hull.

Why I build

I have always been interested in the person standing just outside the room, and what it takes to bring them in.

That instinct shaped NyscBlog in Nigeria, followed me across borders and became the foundation of TheQuestLab, Verogig and CarePrint in the UK.

I don’t separate strategy from lived experience. I know how it feels to build without a map, to lose momentum and to discover that community is often the infrastructure people need first.

My distinctive perspective bridges frontline health and social care with digital transformation and impact strategy, grounded in computer science, programme delivery and real service experience.

Underneath it all is one working ability: I turn ambiguity into structured possibilities. Put me in an unfamiliar conversation and I listen, spot the gaps, connect what others treat as separate, and leave you with practical next steps, not just ideas.

Founder

Verogig · CarePrint · NyscBlog

Building platforms across music, health and care, and youth information, each shaped around access, trust, and practical opportunity.

What guides me

Build. Belong. Become.

Systems over events

I build sustainable platforms and ecosystems, not isolated moments.

Access & voice

I create ways for overlooked people to be seen, equipped and connected to opportunity.

Faith-informed service

I believe the work people do faithfully, even when unseen, deserves dignity and recognition.

The journey

Three chapters so far.

  1. 2018 to 2021

    Nigeria

I found a gap and built NyscBlog.

What began as useful information for young Nigerians navigating national service grew into a platform reaching more than 150,000 people. It taught me that attention means little unless it helps someone move forward.

  2. A new chapter

    United Kingdom

Then I had to start again.

Moving to the UK changed the context, the network and the rules. I arrived with experience, but without the familiar scaffolding around it. Starting over made me more observant, and more committed to building belonging alongside opportunity.

  3. Now

    Hull & beyond

    The work became an ecosystem.

TheQuestLab creates media, gatherings and community programmes. Verogig is building fairer infrastructure for working musicians. CarePrint brings verified recognition into the health and care sector. My consulting work helps other founders turn unfinished ideas into something useful.

The next chapter

Let’s build something people genuinely need.
